2009 Stamp out Hunger Food Drive

This year was a huge success, with the help of the US Coast Guard, student from Casa Grande High School, members of Lokahi Outrigger Canoe Club as well as other caring Petalumans, over 100 volunteers came out to sort, box and store the gorcery items that were collected by our local letter carriers.
All the food collected here will be distributed to hungry Petaluman's.

Each year we hold food drives within the comunity to provide food for needy families. this year during the anual Stamp out Hunger Food drive Sponsored by our local letter carriers collected over 26,000 pounds of non-perishable food items. After the letter carriers promoted the drive and Hauled al the canned good back to the Post Office, our volunteers along with the men and women from the Coast Guard picked up the food from the Post Office, sorted and boxed it for storage.
